Pibbix, a new client of ours (their brand spanking new err… branding above), has just gone live with it’s Beta (and by Beta I really do mean Beta, not “actually, this is the final thing, we just want to have a get out of jail free card, just in case it doesn’t work as well as we think it does”) of it’s voicemail service.
So what do they do, well:
- Voicemail to text
- SMS and email notifications (including MP3 of the voicemail)
(along with some other good stuff, and even more just around the corner, all, as you would imagine, in the cloud).
If you’re thinking that it all sounds a little familiar, you may be thinking of someone like SpinVox (and others) – except Pibbix is better (IMHO) and quite open that it’s both computers and humans doing the transcription. We like it so much, we’re using it ourselves.
Pibbix was set up by Dan Lane (amongst others) which means that it A) works and B) is likely to become a huge success pretty quick-sticks (the first app that opens on his MacBook Pro is Terminal).
There’s more of a write-up about them over here with even the possibility of you being able to get a Beta invite.
